The 'Newsletter' is published twice a year and is distributed free to members. I aim to have the winter number ready at the February indoor meeting. The summer number is sent out to members before the start of the new season in September.

Contributions in the form of articles, line drawings or photographs are welcomed and will be included, subject to the availability of space and to the editor's final decision. They should reach me no later than six weeks before publication date.

There is a top limit of about 750 words, which with illustrations should fill roughly two pages. Shorter items of from 150-350 words are particularly appreciated.

Don't worry if you are not a literary genius - no one in the Group makes such a claim, in any event! Just have a word with me if you feel that you have an idea for an item that you would like to see included or consider would be of interest to members. I will do my best to give it a suitable write-up.

Two articles from the current 'Newsletter' are reproduced below by way of illustration. The longer of the two fills the best part of two pages. It is, admittedly, from the pen of a real professional but still a member. We only occasionally reach such heights. The second was sent in by a member and so again is not fully representative but does serve to illustrate why the shorter length is so useful as well as refreshing in providing variety.
